First Glance: United Way Classic

(Fort Smith, AR)-- The ANNIKA Women’s All Pro Tour (ANNIKA WAPT) is heading to Fort Smith, AR to partner with the United Way for the United Way Classic. The United Way Classic presented by the United Way of Fort Smith Area will feature over 100 of the best LPGA hopefuls competing at Hardscrabble Country Club, the host site for 13 PGA Nationwide Tour events. 

The United Way Classic will be the fourth event of the 2025 ANNIKA WAPT season. The tournament will be held May 7th - 9th, 2025 at Hardscrabble Country Club. The week will include a 54-hole championship finishing on Friday, May 9th. The tournament purse is expected to be $55,000 with the tournament champion taking home a guaranteed minimum of $10,000.

“Although this will be the first year the ANNIKA WAPT has the United Way Classic on its schedule, it has been a fan favorite on our men’s tour for the past five years. The week’s field is made up of 101 players from 19 countries.  

The breakdown of the 101 players per country in the field this week: United States (67), Canada (7), China (3), Mexico (3), Sweden (3), Thailand (3), Colombia (2), Finland (2), Taiwan (2), Australia (1), Austria (1), Chile (1), France (1), Korea (1), Hong Kong (1), Myanmar (1), Paraguay (1), Spain (1), South Africa (1),  

Action gets underway at 8:00 A.M. CT for all three days of play. The field, including amateurs, will be cut after 36 holes to the top 40 of the starting field. The field will be repaired before the final round based on score and players will go off in reverse horseshoe with leaders teeing off last. A trophy presentation by the clubhouse will follow the final round of play. Attendance is free to the public.
