TPC WISCONSIN TO HOST ANNIKA WAPT BEGINNING IN 2026 | WISCONSIN WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP, JULY 29-31
MADISON, WI — The ANNIKA Women’s All Pro Tour (WAPT) is thrilled to announce its debut in Wisconsin with the inaugural Wisconsin Women’s Championship, a professional tournament scheduled for July 29-31 at TPC Wisconsin in Madison. This event will be the first women’s professional golf tournament held in the state since the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic concluded in 2019.
“It is tremendously exciting for us to bring the ANNIKA WAPT to Wisconsin, hosted by a top-tier facility like TPC Wisconsin,” said Gary DeSerrano, Founder of the ANNIKA WAPT. “The Wisconsin Women’s Championship is expected to provide our athletes with a high-quality competitive experience. We look forward to the local community supporting the event and watching some of the LPGA’s future stars compete.”
The highly anticipated Wisconsin Women’s Championship joins the ANNIKA WAPT schedule as a premier 54-hole stroke-play tournament. It will feature a strong international field, with elite amateur talent competing alongside seasoned professional golfers for a projected $60,000 purse.
The addition of this championship strategically reinforces the ANNIKA WAPT’s dedication to creating more opportunities for skilled women golfers nationwide. The highly-regarded developmental tour is instrumental in preparing players for the elevated competition level of the LPGA Tour and the Epson Tour, functioning as a crucial and demanding proving ground for the next generation of global golf stars.
Tournament Director Dave Olesczuk, a University of Wisconsin alumnus, emphasized the profound impact of the event. “Bringing the ANNIKA WAPT | Wisconsin Women’s Championship to this region is more than just a golf event,” Olesczuk stated. “It’s an opportunity to showcase incredible talent, inspire the next generation of golfers, and generate significant economic activity for local businesses. As an alumnus of the University of Wisconsin, I’m personally invested in the success of this championship and seeing firsthand how it fosters the growth of women’s professional golf right here in our state.”
The Wisconsin Women’s Championship aims to make a tangible impact by supporting golf development. All net proceeds will directly benefit the Golf Foundation of Wisconsin (GFW). This strategic partnership ensures the tournament’s success translates into long-term support for introducing new players, junior development, and creating accessible pathways for women and girls in golf, serving as a powerful engine for growing the sport in the state.
