Annika Sorenstam to visit Heritage Classic on Championship Sunday
WICHITA, Kansas – Regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of women’s golf, Annika Sorenstam,
will make an appearance during the Heritage Classic Presented by Keystone Solid Surfaces during tournament
week September 4-7 at Rolling Hills Country Club, the birthplace of the LPGA Tour.
Heritage Classic Tournament Director David Guy has been a powerful advocate for Sorenstam appearing in
Wichita during tournament week. “Annika’s presence in the game of golf is remarkable. She has had an
amazing hall-of-fame career and has inspired so many young women to play golf, and many of those have
gone on to play the LPGA Tour and realize their own dreams.”
Sorenstam is expected to greet and welcome each player prior to teeing off in the final round on
championship Sunday, September 7 th . In addition, the winner of 72 LPGA titles, including 10 major
championships, will speak and participate in the awards ceremony and champions celebration at the
conclusion of the final event of the Annika WAPT year-long schedule.
Today marks the unveiling of the Annika Founders Exhibit plaques, which will permanently honor the 13
determined and courageous women professionals that immediately after the 1950 U.S. Women’s Open
Championship held at Rolling Hills gathered to create the original bylaws that would form the LPGA Tour.
“This group of purposeful women professionals wanted to create an organization, much like the men had at
the time,” said Guy. “Because of their tenacious efforts, today the LPGA plays for a total yearly purse of
$131,000,000 spread over 35 events.”
Guy announces many tournament week sponsorships and events are sold out. “I am so proud of the Wichita
community for supporting this tournament. The Wednesday Donovan Auto & Truck Center Pro-Am is sold out
for the first time in four years. We have also sold out of our first-year Annika Club Sponsors. We have created
a great atmosphere around the 18 th green with our Founders Club Hospitality Chalet’s, where we are just a few
tickets short of selling out. Our dream of making this tournament a first-class women’s professional golf event
is being realized, and I couldn’t be prouder of our staff, sponsors, volunteers, club members, and community
for making it happen.”
About the Heritage Classic Presented by Keystone Solid Surfaces
The future stars of women’s golf are returning to the birthplace of the LPGA for the FOURTH year in a row.
After the inaugural tournament in 2022 the ANNIKA Women’s All Pro Tour asked Rolling Hills to host the Tour
Championship Tournament going forward. The Championship will be played at Rolling Hills through 2027.
What makes this event so special is the ability to bring women’s professional golf back to the birthplace of the
LPGA, allowing us to share the story of where it all began. And, in partnering with the ANNIKA Women’s All
Pro Tour, we have the opportunity to help advance women’s golf.
About Keystone Solid Surfaces
Keystone Solid Surfaces is a family owned and operated Countertop Fabrication Facility. The
new ownership group purchased Keystone in August of 2017 and have experienced
tremendous growth. This led to the relocation of the company to a state of the art 50,000

square feet of stone and solid surface each day. Keystone fabricates and installs both
residential and commercial countertops all throughout Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri.
