Tillie Claggett Wins Texarkana Children's Charity Open, Cards Final-Round 67 for Wire-to-Wire-Style Victory

TEXARKANA, Ark. — Tillie Claggett closed with a 5-under 67 to win the Texarkana Children's Charity Open at Texarkana Country Club on Saturday, finishing at 12-under 276 for a three-stroke victory on the ANNIKA Women's All Pro Tour. Claggett earns herself $10,000 and jumps to second in the Callaway Race 2 Qualifying standings.

Claggett, of Calgary, Alberta, opened with rounds of 67-71-71 before a final-round 67 sealed the win over a four-round, 72-hole test at Texarkana CC. The victory continues a strong 2026 stretch for Claggett, who also won the ANNIKA WAPT's Oklahoma stop earlier this season.

Julia Misemer of Overland Park, Kansas, finished runner-up at 9-under 279 after a final-round 69, capping the week with three rounds in the 60s.

Both Claggett and Misemer receive an exemption into the EPSON Tour’s Hartford HealthCare Women's Championship on July 20, 2026.

Colombia's Maria Bohorquez and Scotland's Alison Muirhead tied for third at 6-under 282. Bohorquez, the 54-hole leader, shot a final-round 74, while Muirhead closed with an even-par 72.

Dallas, Texas native Mackenzie Lee rounded out the top five at 5-under 283 after a closing 69.

It's Claggett's second win of the season, following an earlier victory at the tour's Oklahoma stop in Tulsa. She said the win means even more given how her year started.

"I kind of got thrusted into professional golf a little bit earlier than was originally scheduled, and wasn't really in the best place when I started," Claggett said. "So it just feels really good to be able to just get right into it and start winning right at the gate."

Claggett's driver was on full display throughout the week at Texarkana CC. "I think the course set up well for me. I was hitting the driver well, and this course allowed me to hit driver a lot, which is always good," she said. "It's kind of nice. It kind of encourages you to shot-shape off the tee. That's always fun and keeps it interesting."

Her irons rounded into form in the final round, echoing the form that carried her to victory in Tulsa. "I think today I was able to get the irons going a little bit better, kind of reminiscent of my win in Tulsa," Claggett said. "And made some putts when it mattered, hit some good shots when it mattered. So that always feels good."

Claggett also credited the rotating cast of caddies who worked her bag over the four days. "I really just like to have somebody to talk to and somebody to keep me light and distracted, because I like to be light and joyful on the golf course," she said. "Anybody who can just keep me happy and keep me positive is really all I need."

The Texarkana Children's Charity Open is an official event on the ANNIKA Women's All Pro Tour, which serves as a developmental pathway for professional women's golfers to the Epson Tour and LPGA Tour.
